Taking Care of our Community and its People
Back 2 School Fair
Hosted by the Children's Ministry, the Back 2 School Fair has helped several economically disadvantaged families and students, from grade school to college, start off the new school year with many of their school supply needs met in a one-stop destination.
Held in our church parking lot, volunteers work hard and diligently to educate parents and children on how to effectively prepare for the upcoming school year. Children are treated to fun and games and gifts of school supplies.
If you would like to participate in our next event, please reach out to our Children's Ministry Director, Sis. Hope Shand. Volunteers, educators, and donations of gifts and supplies are always welcome.
Prayer at the White House
Since its beginning, our members have traveled to Washington DC for the annual " Prayer at the White House". Many churches gather in one accord to pray for the leaders and leadership of our country. As believers in Christ, we believe the word of God when it says "if my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."- 2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV

Until then, hear are some instructions on how you should pray:
"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then y0ur Father , who sees what is done in secret will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. This, then, is how you should pray:
" Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen." - Matthew 6:5-13 NIV
At our annual picnic members, associate members and guests of our church spend a day in the park with family and friends, good food, good music, and good company.
